2012 Open Division Sunshine Classic

Format
GUARANTEES: 4 games guaranteed. 3-game pool play plus playoffs, with Championship game Sunday, final game time determined by number of teams. All teams play two games Friday, one Saturday, followed by playoffs. Playoff format will be determined by the number of teams competing.
MINIMUMS: 4 teams needed to complete a division.

DIVISION: 25+ -- Teams may have 5 underage players, ages 22-24 (players must have reached 22nd birthday by Feb. 1); underage players may not pitch.
ELIGIBILITY: Tournament is open to all leagues and teams. All participants must be in good standing with their home league.
ROSTERS: Maximum is 20 players per team.
LOCKER ROOM: (optional) All players will have the option to have a locker in a MLB spring training locker room with access to trainer services, daily laundry, continental breakfast, and post-game icing as well as adult refreshments. Teams lockers will be grouped together, based on registrations received by Feb. 1. (See FEE section for locker room costs and minimums.)
AWARDS: Champions – up to $500 in H2Baseball/Roy Hobbs Baseball credits (based on number of teams registered), toward rings, event fees, apparel, equipment, future Sunshine Classic waivers, etc. Award amount is determined by number of teams entered; must have at least 10 teams for the top level award.
Fees
TEAM: $600 per team, due by Jan. 30. After Jan. 30, fee is $750. Maximum 20 players per team.
LOCKER ROOM OPTION: $100 per player for Friday morning through Sunday noon, due by Jan 30; after Jan. 30, fee is $125 per player. Minimum 25 participants needed overall to operate the locker room. TEAM fee for the locker room is: $1000 for up to 13 players; additional players are $75 each.
MULTIPLE EVENTS: Any players taking advantage of multiple events in the Sunshine Classic series, i.e., Veterans, Family Ties, Spring Training, President’s Day or Open, may take a 10% discount on the combined fees of their selected events. (Any combo with President’s Day competition can take a 20% discount.) When registering on-line, please note that you are selecting multiple events.
