2012 President's Day Sunshine Classic

President's Day Schedule and Results
TWO DIVISIONS:
- 50+ Division: Teams may have 5 underage players, ages 45-49 (players must have reached 45th birthday by Feb. 15); underage players may not pitch.
- 60+ Division: Teams may have 5 underage players, ages 55-59 (players must have reached 55th birthday by Feb. 15); underage players may not pitch.
Format
GUARANTEES: 5 games guaranteed. 3- or 4-game pool play plus playoffs, with Championship game(s) completed by Monday 3 p.m. All teams may schedule a Thursday afternoon workout, followed by two games on Friday and pool play wrapup on Saturday before playoffs. Single or double-elimination playoffs will be determined by the number of teams competing and division breakdown. No guarantee, however, all efforts will be made to get teams 6 games if at all possible.
MINIMUMS: 4 teams needed to complete a division.

ELIGIBILITY: Tournament is open to all leagues and teams. All participants must be in good standing with their home league.
ROSTERS: Minimum roster is 13, Maximum is 20 players per team.
LOCKER ROOM: All players will have a locker in a MLB spring training locker room and have access to trainer services, daily laundry, continental breakfast, and post-game icing as well as adult refreshments. Teams lockers will be grouped together, based on registrations received by Feb. 13. Cookout planned Sunday night, site to be determined, along with final Kangaroo Court.
KANGAROO COURT: Several sessions of Kangaroo Court are planned to assist in recognizing the stellar, or otherwise, accomplishments of the President's Day event participants. Proceeds go to the Roy Hobbs Foundation … www.royhobbs.org.
AWARDS: Champion team (in top division if multiple divisions in an age bracket) – $500 in H2Baseball credits, toward rings, event fees, apparel, equipment, future Sunshine Classic waivers, etc. (If multiple divisions, $250 in credits to second division team winner.)
Fees
INDIVIDUAL: $295 per player, due by Jan. 23. After Jan. 23, fee is $375.
TEAM: $3650, due by Jan. 23. After Jan. 23, fee is $4450. Team fee discounts are operational at 13 players. Fees include full locker room amenities from Thursday noon through Monday closing.
LOCKER ROOM: Included for all players.
MULTIPLE EVENTS: Any players taking advantage of multiple events in the Sunshine Classic series, i.e., Veterans, Family Ties, Spring Training, President’s Day or Open, may take a 10% discount on the combined fees of their selected events. (Any combo with President’s Day competition can take a 20% discount.) When registering on-line, please note that you are selecting multiple events.
